When artists, activists, journalists, doctors — all the wretched of the Earth — are systematically barred from shaping our society, we must devise new ways to impart justice and humanity. We are the stewards of our shared future.

We are all sitting around the same table, although some people's plates are empty.

OTE seeks to address this disparity, at least a little bit, by centring impact, rather than profit. Covering the cost of fulfilment (ie. printing and distribution), OTE bridges creators with their community, building an art-based mutual aid infrastructure. Every cent of profit raised through this exchange goes directly into mutual aid funds, sourced and verified by the community. Full transparency. Maximum impact. 100% of this Earth.

“ ... My name is Qusay Al-Reqeb, and I am writing these words from a place where hope is as scarce as bread.

There are days when our only goal is to find a single meal. Education seems like a luxury in a place where people are fighting for a bag of flour but, for me, it is the only path back to humanity.

Against all odds, amidst the hunger and the constant fear of bombardment, I managed to secure an acceptance to the University of Glasgow.

I refuse to let my story end under a piece of plastic on a beach. I have the brains, the ambition and the will but I am trapped by poverty and war. I am asking for a chance to trade the smell of smoke and salt for those of books and ink...”
